About Kaiya Castillo
Kaiya was born on July 9, 1994, in Plainfield, New Jersey. She was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a chronic lung disease, at five months of age. Cystic Fibrosis is a life-shortening disease that effects various organs in the body, especially the lungs.
Throughout her young life, Kaiya has had to endure countless hospital stays and procedures. Through it all, she has maintained a positive attitude and has continued to embody a beautiful spirit. Now at the tender age of 14, when most of the children her age's biggest worry is what to wear to school, Kaiya is fighting for her life.
On April 29, 2010 Kaiya received a life-saving double lung transplant. We are raising money to try to offset transplant related expenses.
Our fund raising goal is $35,000. Please help us in our fight to help Kaiya!
